Booking Terms & Conditions
1. Booking Service and Fishing Guides
Hooked Up Media, LLC operates the Fish Charter Services booking and payment platform used to arrange trips with participating fishing guides or charter captains. Your on-water trip is provided and conducted by the selected guide or charter operator, who controls boating operations, fishing activities, and safety decisions.
When placing a reservation, you agree to provide accurate contact details, select the correct date, trip duration, guide, and passenger count, and promptly notify the booking provider or guide of any necessary corrections. A reservation is subject to availability and confirmation through the booking process.
2. Trip Price, Deposit, Booking Fee, and Remaining Balance
The booking page identifies the trip price and deposit. Checkout separately displays the deposit, any card/booking fee, and the Total Due Now. You authorize collection of the Total Due Now when you submit payment. Unless otherwise specifically shown or agreed, the remaining trip balance is not collected at checkout and is payable according to the arrangement communicated by your guide.
Any applicable taxes, gratuities, optional services, or other charges must be disclosed where required. Tips are not automatically required unless clearly disclosed as part of a specific trip arrangement.
Booking fees: A card/booking fee, if applicable, is displayed separately at checkout before you pay. The amount presented at checkout controls; the company does not promise that a particular fee will remain unchanged for a later, separate booking.
3. Customer Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Refund Requests
If you need to cancel or reschedule, notify the guide or booking provider as soon as possible using your confirmation details. Whether a deposit, booking fee, or other payment is refundable—and any cancellation deadline or charge—depends on the specific cancellation and refund policy disclosed to you for your booking and applicable law.
These general terms do not establish a universal nonrefundable-deposit rule, a fixed cancellation deadline, or an automatic cancellation fee. A fee can be assessed only where its amount or calculation method, triggering event, and authorization were disclosed and agreed to as required by law. Any approved refund may take additional processing time to appear on the original payment method.
For no-shows or late arrivals, contact the guide immediately. Any resulting fee or loss of a deposit is governed by the terms actually disclosed for the trip, not by an undisclosed charge.
4. Weather, Water Conditions, and Operational Changes
The captain or guide may delay, shorten, reschedule, relocate, or cancel a trip when weather, water conditions, equipment problems, safety concerns, or other operational circumstances make the trip unsafe or impractical. Passenger safety takes priority over schedule commitments.
When the guide cancels or materially changes a trip, available rescheduling or refund options will be communicated consistent with the trip-specific policy and applicable law. Customers should not assume that light rain automatically qualifies for a refund or that a trip will proceed during unsafe conditions.
5. Passenger Safety and Participation
Fishing and boating involve inherent hazards, including changing weather, moving boats, hooks, wildlife, slippery surfaces, and water-related risks. Passengers must follow lawful instructions from the captain or crew, comply with life-jacket and other safety requirements, and behave responsibly. Children must be supervised by a parent or responsible adult.
Tell the guide in advance about accessibility needs or other circumstances relevant to safe participation. Do not board while impaired or engage in conduct that endangers others. Licenses, fishing limits, protected species rules, and other applicable regulations must be followed. Ask the guide which licenses or equipment are included in your trip.
Nothing in these terms waives rights or limits liability where doing so is prohibited by applicable law.
6. Authorization to Charge and Securely Store Your Card
Payment today. By confirming a reservation and submitting payment, you authorize Hooked Up Media, LLC to charge your selected payment method the Total Due Now displayed at checkout for the current reservation.
Saving the payment method. By checking the agreement box at checkout, you authorize Hooked Up Media, LLC and its payment processor, Stripe, to securely save the payment method used for this booking for future authorized transactions. Payment credentials are handled by Stripe; Fish Charter Services does not need to store your full card number or card security code on its own server.
Future charges. You authorize a charge to the saved payment method only for (a) a later transaction that you separately approve, or (b) a booking-related fee for which the amount (or clear calculation method), reason for the charge, and applicable timing were clearly disclosed to you and accepted in advance, including any properly disclosed cancellation or no-show fee. This agreement is not permission to make unlimited, arbitrary, or undisclosed charges.
Off-session payments. You understand that a specifically authorized future charge may be made when you are not actively entering your card details. Some transactions may require additional authentication or a new approval. You may request information about an authorized charge or ask that a saved method be removed from future use, subject to any outstanding lawful payment obligations.
Disputes and corrections. Contact the booking provider about an incorrect payment. Your rights to dispute charges with your card issuer, including any rights provided by law, are not waived.
7. Communications and Booking Records
We may use the contact information supplied during booking to send reservation confirmations and essential service messages, such as schedule changes and payment updates. Any marketing messages are subject to separate consent and applicable law. Booking and payment information may be shared with the selected guide and payment service providers as needed to fulfill the reservation, subject to applicable privacy requirements.
8. Accuracy, Availability, and Changes to These Terms
Listings, trip durations, and prices may change. The confirmed reservation details and amounts displayed and agreed to at checkout govern that transaction. An updated version of these terms applies to future bookings after it is posted and accepted, not retroactively to take away rights already established under an earlier booking.
9. Applicable Law and Consumer Rights
These terms are interpreted subject to applicable federal, state, and local law. Nothing here removes mandatory consumer rights, rights concerning unauthorized card charges, or other protections that cannot lawfully be waived.
10. Questions, Changes, or Payment Concerns
For booking changes or trip-specific policies, use the contact information provided with your reservation or contact your selected fishing guide. For website or payment-related questions, contact Fish Charter Services through its published customer service channels. Include your booking date and guide name, but never email your full card number or security code.
